Perforated Elongated Honeycomb Ring
Perforated surfaces are found throughout architecture from old lattice-works in the Middle East to modern buildings in the West. I thought it would be great to apply to smaller scale jewelry designs and came up with the Perforated Honeycomb Ring.
Here you see it constructed out of stainless steel that is formed by an additive layer by layer process known as 3D Printing. I designed it to have a break on the bottom of the ring which makes it easier to take on and off. The ring has a texture as a result of the 3D printing process which gives it a modern industrial look. I lightly polish it to give it a little more shine.
This ring is similar to the original Honeycomb ring except that the pattern is elongated and the ring band itself is tapered - - the band narrows towards the bottom.
The ring band measures roughly 1/2 inch in width. Check the drop-down menu for the latest stock information.
If you would like to order a custom size please allow about 3 weeks for production. Also keep in mind that 3d printing in metal is not very precise so sizes can be off by 1/4 ring size (ex: a size 7 may come out as 7.25).
